It was really good. It has a serious spicy bite at the end.

Good evening BAs! It has been a little while - Dark Lord Weekend was crazy and a ton of fun - but didn't make it to check any in here. Had phenomenal beers with my buddies Friday and Saturday evenings though.

Now, a leftover from the weekend. First time with this one...

Really excellent. Obviously very similar to Jai Alai, but a bit smoother, slight vanilla notes, and less intense bitterness.

Tomorrow is my Friday, then a long weekend in Vegas with the boys! Looking forward to it...cheers all!

Wish I would've known about the drink by date at the bottom: 1/29/17.
It's been chilling since I got it, and was in the cooler at the store back in November, but I never figured to look for a drink by date.

It doesn't taste off, so there's that....

My normal stock is running low, so I had to dig into my "cellar" (not a cellar) for this Schlafly Ibex Stout. This junk is good - hmm, maybe not a thorough description . Ummm, picture time

Yes, that is a photo bombing cat. My heart jumped as I thought he may knock the glass over :grimacing:.

My main go-to fruit beer. Grabbed another 4 pack last week, glad it's year round. Flavors of big juicy sweet/tart raspberries; with moderate wheat, cracker, bready malt balance; and some light herbal/spicy hop earthiness. Balanced tart, lightly bitter finish; and lightly creamy wheat/fruit acidity in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp with light-moderate acidic/bitter dryness. Always amazing, so refreshing.

Incredible American porter as always. Flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted dark bread, and light smoke/charred malts; with some balancing herbal/spicy hop flavors. Moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Great creamy/silky medium body mouthfeel; some light hop stickiness and chalky roast as well. Lightly increasing roasted dryness. Always amazing stuff. Pretty much the perfect definition of the American porter style. Will always be a top favorite.

Delicious as usual. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, and pine; with moderate caramel/toasted bready malt; and herbal/floral/grassy hops. Moderate pine/rind bitterness; with balanced creaminess and sticky/resins in the mouthfeel. Moderate dryness with zero hop astringency. Tastes like a 1.5x strength version of Crooked tree, and that's completely alright by me. I love Crooked Tree and Double too. Will get again while it's still fresh.

Absolutely incredible. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate honey, bready, light caramel malt sweetness; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/rind bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; with a creamy/sticky, and lightly slick/resinous balanced mouthfeel. Lightly increasing resin/rind dryness, zero hop astringency. Super juicy, bright, and fruity; malty yet never overly sweet. Mildly warming 10%. This is staying a staple fridge DIPA for sure, as long as the freshness stays consistent. Centennial, Simcoe, Columbus, and Chinook hops. One of my favorite hop profiles for any IPA/DIPA. This was my last can in the fridge for now. Already killed 2 4 packs since they started canning this in Feb.

For a 12% IIPA this is pretty damn smooth, and juicy. A pretty unique offering from Greater Good Imperial Brewing. Cheers!

I am a runner and love lutefisk so I am probably the only person that understands what that means on this site. The 20 miles from Madison to Stoughton is more difficult than many marathons, but the beer afterwards and seeing a lot of people dressed up in bunads makes it worth it!

Lutefisk is just something that must be endured once a year. It's like fish flavored petroleum jelly. I'd miss it if it wasn't on the table this Christmas though. Skol sir!

Just watched The Berkeley Marathons on Netflix. Really cool if you're into running. Although I haven't done any significant running in about five years.
