A well-deserved post-workout beer, while I debate the merits of cooking breakfast.

Some people say they have trouble sleeping during the day. The secret is triple IPA & noodles.

Stayed up late last night catching up on wife's tv programs, and slept in this stormy morning. Fighting off the dreary with this breakfast beer:

Rain forecast all week...maybe I'll get a haircut...Cheers morning imbibers!

Your cast iron skillet looks like it has seen a lot more cooking than mine; still my my "go to" to cook everything in. Cheers!

Enjoying one last day of fun before returning to my more 'normal' routine. It's been fun slacking for a couple of weeks, but the pounds have started to add up! Going to sit a spell on the patio and join @Roguer with this beer I put in the fridge a few days ago before doing some yard clean up from yesterday's brief storm. Cheers to the week ahead!

Good morning, all! Doing a little post-breakfast, and pre-spinning workout reading this morning, all in preparation for a short course. Even nerdy academics get to "take" a course once in a while.
Odd 13 Superfan IPA in my glass (hard to not keep drinking this...)... cheers!

Having a Cuppa coffee. Really nice local British style ale with hot bloom Ethiopian cold brew coffee. Amazing aroma and the taste is quite nice as well. Very little hops to stand in the way of the malts and coffee, providing just balance with some floral earthy herbal notes. Tastes like medium roast coffee, toffee, and roasted pecans, with maybe a touch of dried fruit. Good stuff, and pretty unique. Cheers!

Raining outside and time for some gumbo paired with . . .

Solid gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt with a light dusting of spicy hops.

Taste is a pleasant surprise. I was expecting something along the lines of Little Kings or Genesee, but no, this brew is major league compared to those. A good dollop of malt on entry reminiscent of a German Helles followed by a hop hit that's bold yet sophisticated. Brewer says the hops are Apollo, Cascade and Ekuanot, referring to them as "fruity and piney" and mentions dry hopping in the process. I don't care which or how, or that rice is in the grain bill, it all comes together and this tastes good.

This is such a unique beer in a good way. I'm tasting more of the coconut that others have been talking about. Some dogs on the grill for lunch and Polish for later. The wind has picked up and rid the air of the morning humidity making for a comfortable day.

Having a Space Dust IPA. Pretty good DIPA. I tried one from April and thought it was a little more tropical. This one is more fresh from May 22, and it tastes a bit more herbal earthy and woodsy, probably from the Chinook bittering. I'll see if my other bottle gets a little less woodsy and herbal over a month or so. Watching some Beerland too. I almost feel like an AB rep. Cheers!
