Perennial Sump 17. Explosion of dark chocolate and coffee, thicker body, with a smooth coffee finish. Excellent!

Mrs Gee is away for the weekend at Veterinary conference. My advice to me is to start drinking heavily

Hello, BA! It's been a tough week for me- time for a few brewskis!

I'm down to the last few from the Beer Camp pack, and I must admit that this one gave me some trepidation-
    [IMG]
But my fears were unfounded- I'm really enjoying it, and it really seems to nail what they were going for. It goes well with my egg roll and steak-on-a-stake, too. I don't know if I'd have another, but I'll surely get through this one just fine :sunglasses:.

    Last one from the pack...

    Here's how I rank 'em...

#1 -- Dry-Hopped Berliner-Style Weisse (Saint Arnold): Tart, lemony and even creamy with an unexpectedly refreshing wallop of fresh-cut grass

#2 -- White IPA with Yuzu (Kiuchi): The earthy citrus and restrained use of nutmeg were surprisingly delicious

#3 -- Dunkel Weisse (Ayinger): Tasty take on the style that left me jonsing for an Oktoberfest collaboration

#4 -- East Meets West IPA (Treehouse): Not as much New England in here as I expected, but a fine IPA regardless

#5 -- Thai-Style Iced Tea (Mikkeller): Tamarind isn't really my jam, but this was exceptionally well-crafted and delivered as promised

#6 -- Raspberry Sundae Ale (The Bruery): Come on, this was fun for a one-and-done

#7 -- Campout Porter (Garage Project): A tad over-carbonated to my taste, but otherwise very solid

#8 -- Dry-Hopped Barleywine Style Ale (Avery): Wow, this is bitter

#9 -- Atlantic-Style Vintage Ale (Fullers): Basic elements are there, but maybe still a bit too young

#10 -- Ginger Lager (Surly): Liked the real ginger, but found the metallic character off-putting and the cayenne unnecessary

#11 -- West Coast-Style DIPA (Boneyard): Would have preferred piney bitterness to the chalky, pilly bitterness here

#12 -- Hoppy Belgian-Style Golden Ale (Duvel): The hopping here detracted from what otherwise would have been a superb beer

Hey BA, Finally Friday, whew, and a 3 day weekend for me. Happy Birthday to those whose parents celebrated an equinox in that "special" way.

    Really enjoying some upper case...

Clean and light, not crisp, but delicious.
Here's an audible clean and light comparison between eras. First the original Woody Herman post WWII jazz standard

And then in the Vietnam War era
Alvin Lee and Ten Years After took a shot at it

I used to own this album, but it was no longer in the collection when I returned from college. Blast!
    Where will it go next?
