Falconer's Flight and Citra hops in a 10% abv version of their Space IPA... Got that butterscotch caramel sugar sweetness and feel, with thick rounded pine edges, and a juicy, rich fruit center, full of citrus and ripe mango deliciousness... Smooth and soft - spot-on as far as my DIPA desires go... 7/11 canning...

I was looking forward to this beer earlier this afternoon (it's around 17:30 around here now).
Picture looks sunny but there's a strong wind blowing too. Have to hold on to the glass and the empty can keeps rolling around (put that away by now). Nice to be outside however.

The elephant in the room. The idea is it's not bait, I am really drinking it now. And then it can be bait too. I will tell you I have been called out for posting a song without any beer. SO there. I want the old emoticons back too so if that could happen? Their round cherub like faces so humorous. The new ones look like all the same kind of jelly beans. =)

Following @CanConPhilly lead and finish the growler of Burley Oak Boysenberry Black Current JREAM, still has enough carbonation even though I opened it Wednesday, cheers!

 

It was in the pack . . .



Appearance is of deep golden amber with bountiful white cap and good lacing.

Aroma is malt foremost, caramel, toffee malt in the sweet sense without hop sharpness.

Flavor is full on malt with depth and richness. This is full flavored and it's good flavor. I get little hop presence on entry, mid palate, or in the finish which is clean and short. Hops are there but too shy to give more than a glimpse of their presence. There is a residual darker malt sweetness (molasses?) in the aftertaste that doesn't linger very long.

A 2016 bottle on an autumn like day that's struggling to hit 60 degrees now. The coffee is absent, but there's wonderful bourbon and oak with a hint of dark chocolate. Perfect on a lazy Friday......

 

Beer #3. Probably my last Trill for awhile. God these age well!
