After several of these over some days, it actually reminds me of hi res without the heat from booze. It's pretty crazy.

 

My neighbor that had bypass surgery in January finally felt good enough to take the boat out for a test drive before his trip to Minnesota next month. Cheers from Pine Lake in LaPorte!

Very attractive amber gold color with egg shell tone cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet (honey) malt with touches of spicy, piney, citrusy hops.

Taste on entry is a richer sort of malt accented by spicy hops. A firmness presents which I guess is the rye grain as well as a lower case firm sort of bitterness which is probably hops but could be rye influence as well. Not a complex or sophisticated brew but one with flavors that harmonize together.

Medium to medium full texture depending on how you count 'em and balancing carbonation.

Well thought out and well crafted brew. I'm glad to see some emphasis on rye from these bigger brewers. That's not a grain that immediately springs to mind when talking beer but it is a favorite of mine.

I'm on Day 1 of my last good run of vacation for 2017 and later this afternoon I'm taking a co-worker friend to a course he's never played. He's still relatively new to golf and getting more and more into it, so I'm doing what I can to encourage that behavior.

Just picked up a couple 6 packs of Psychadelic Cat Grass by Short's. This is about as fresh an ipa as you can get. It was bottled and shipped (and drank) today. Fantastic beer to kick off my day off...love Short's, not many breweries would try to pull this off.

 

The Alchemist Skadoosh (9th variant). Insanely dank and tropical. I'm loving it.
