Another 'breakfast' beer that I purchased yesterday from regional favorite Windmill.

It reminds me of a slightly creamier version of Xocoveza. Perhaps more in line with 18th's Bitches Bank? The maple is there as the stickiness can be felt in the droplets on the side of the can, but the rather heavy cinnamon dominates. It's a solid enough beer that could be special with some tweaking. On the pricey side at $19 for a 4 pack of pints, but worth splurging for. A great day of stouts!

Home now after a long day of driving and sight seeing:



First stop, Plaza de San Juan de Dios, the largest square in Cadiz. The statute is of an old politician/prime minister.



Cadiz is believed to be the most ancient city standing in Western Europe, founded by the Phoenicians in 1104 BC.

On the drive back we stopped at one of the wind surfing hot spots, Tangana Beach, Tarifa. Wind surfers are the big sails, and the small sails in the sky are attached to kite boards:





There were hundreds of "surfers" on this super windy coastline of the Atlantic moving at great speed; sure looked like tons of fun!

Second new beer on a Wednesday, wow. It helps that I didn't work today and the weather is absolutely incredible, 68 degrees and no wind.

 

Shoot me dead for not wanting to start a new forum, but this thread is good as any to get answers from experienced beer drinkers:
Has anyone tried aging Victory sour monkey? It's a great beer, one of the few easily accessible sours (in the Northeast) that has an abv high enough (9.5%) for me to want to try aging.
If you've aged one, please lemme know how it tasted afterwards. reply here or DM
