Good Morning BA
I always assumed my local bottle shop was gouging on this as they only keep two on the counter at a time until the case sells. I inquired yesterday. $2.29 a bottle for fresh ZD. Yes please.

Enjoy what's in your glass today BA!
Let's get this party started
An oldie but a goodie.
Day off and this thing is tasty! Cheers all.
Another American beer popped up in German bottle shops recently. Always amazing. Cheers all!
3 Floyds - Alpha King
First time with this one and it won't be the last. Really good.
We spent the day in town with the dogs, walking about, and a little shopping. The pub did not have "morning" hours today (many places open 10-2, close, then reopen 6-12) so I'll start with a cheap lager in the pool this late afternoon:
Yesterday at the source (no cell service). Nose threw me off but the taste and finish was excellent tart pear. Cheers!
Salud! Enjoying España much are you? I was once in the Canary Island (Tenerife) and had a blast too.
Love it here! The weather on the southern coast is mild (by Florida standards) and the folks we've met are fun. Cheers!
Holy cow. The envy. What bar is this that has such an incredible selection?
While I'm in the pool the dogs keep the lounge chairs warm (Kitty on the wall in the far right of pic):
Back in the lounger with a second lager:
C. O. B. Coffee Oatmeal Brown from Free Will
A quick dip in the pool, then on to dinner prep, and a lovely gin/tonic. Cheers!
First time with this lovely quad. Enjoying a beautiful evening in Bonn. Cheers all.
Having an Oktober Fest with lunch. Was a hell of effort to keep from popping open one of the Narwhals I scored this morning. Alas I've work to do this afternoon. Nice to know it's there at days end. Nice that the bottle shop finally got it.
Great label, awesome beer.
Indeed, this is an awesome beer! However, it tastes a bit more like a tripel to me. Has anyone else thought this?
Well BA, my work week starts at 5:30pm tonight, so this is my nightcap.
First of this year's run. Bottled September 2nd and tasting great. Have a great weekend folks!
Another round . . .
Color of light hazy gold with white cap and lacing.
Aroma of sweet malt tinged with orange and flowery hops. Not a heavy scent, rather mild actually, yet very clean.
This is not, I repeat not, a tart white wheat ale. Far from it, the flavor is rich and smooth with rounded depth. A spicy orange flavor is prominent but carries a dryness all the way to the finish. The malt is almost caramely but that may be partly due to the orange which remains a constant throughout. Simple flavors well interwoven, in short a class act.
Atom: Rye DIPA on cask.
That would be my basement....
So I ask the wife if I could make her a cocktail...she says that the laundry needs hanging (most of the homes/apartments where we stay in countries we visit don't use/have dryers). I mention that it will be dark in 2 hours, so perhaps tomorrow?...lager Quattro:
Happy Friday from Boston, BAs! Went to Trillium at open and spent way too much money on ipas, but I just can't resist. Trillium really is the beer nerd's candy shop. So many colors and flavors! Must have them all.
Now taking a break at our airBnB, and trying this one for the first time.
If this beer were a lady, she'd be mighty fine.
Y'all know about Barbar right? This is their "Cuvée Spéciale" Lefebvre 140... Very good.
I'm waiting for a friend for a couple more brews from a tiny former Yugoslavian country. Stay tuned and cheers.
My wife and I are celebrating our 10 wedding anniversary. Up in North Conway shopping for her and beer for me. In that glass is Clown Shoes Space, @bowzer4birdie always loves when I drink that. Cheers Friday the 13th.
Drinking Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen
I was there a couple of weeks ago for a conference and went over to Trillium within maybe an hour of arriving. I genuinely am still amazed by how easy they make buying amazing beer. You mean that I can just walk in and walk out in 3 minutes? It’s the platonic ideal of a beer purchase.
If it’s still open and the weather isn’t too chilly, I highly recommend their beer garden. Fun vibe. Cool location. Great beer, obviously.
Congratulations and best wishes for many more years to come - Cheers!!
IIRC... This seems like a good beer to start this day:
Apparently a virtual pseudo-share with @cbcrunch ...
This is an old can, and the coffee isn’t too strong [any longer?], but it is still a nice roasty oatmeal stout.
Congratulations on the anniversary!
Congrats. You only have 33 yrs and 331 days to catch up to me !
Congratulations hope you guys have fun!!
Congratulations, hope you find some good beer. Oh, and congratulations on the Anniversary as well. Seriously though a decade... Real congratulations.
