Jolly Pumpkin - Bam Di Castagna

 

That style homebrew IPA. I just wish it was fresher since I kegged and force carbed yesterday. I like my ipas fresh. Anything older than 12 hours isn't good enough in these parts anymore

 

I think Blazing World is one of the best year-round beers out there. So how does a Boss-level one compare?

Well, in a lot of ways, it's what you expect. Mega Blazing World is simply BW but amped up to 15. It reminds me of some echoes of Sierra Nevada Celebration. This one clocking in at 8.5% ABV, it's not an overwhelming beer. But the malt is driven up to a point where I like it less than the regular BW, as this tastes a lot more sweet than hoppy. This could also just be due to distribution/me, since this was bottled over a month ago, and I'm only getting around to this now.

Not a bad beer, but not one I'd get again. I am looking forward to MT's October beer: Spaceship Earth, which I should be receiving in a matter of days. Cheers!

Paix Dieu. A Belgian monastery triple beer that’s only brewed at full moon.

No idea if it’s the full moon, but taste of this beer is really good. It’s only from the commercial description that I learned about the 10% alcohol in this beer. However, no boozy hints in the taste at all. Nice!
