Lots of hiking up and down the local castle, and lower fortress/gardens this morning. Now back at hotel relaxing with an Alhambra Reserva Roja, 7.2%:

Rain, wind, lightning, thunder all conspiring to keep me off the golf course. At least I have a good beer to fall back on.

Good morning BAs! For my second New Breakfast Beer today:

Really not very good - not up to the standard of either Arrogant Bastard or bourbon barrel aging...

    Good Morning BA
I'm back after a couple liver recovery (long work) days. Drinking this...

The only fresh hop beer in my local bottle shop on delivery day. We haven't gotten squat this year. This is a Chinook single hop beer. They also do Cascade and Centennial, but I haven't seen those in a couple years. Happy Wednesday & enjoy what's in your glass today BA!

No coffee in today's breakfast brew - it's not even a stout!

Surprisingly enjoyable, this one is a pleasure to drink.

Making breakfast for the kiddos and me. I'm thinking tater tots and cheese omelets. Cheers and good morning!

Wow, 62 degrees and sunny; this may be the finest day I've experienced down here yet! I think it calls for a beer in the sun.

    Beechwood Citraholic IPA - thanks, @JayORear !

Don't worry, I kept the beer in the shade (after snapping a pic) while I soaked up some solar zoomies. :sunglasses:

Breakfast earlier worked for me. It may look messy, but trust me: it's delicious!

With this weather, I think I'm going to have to fire up the grill for dinner.

    Cheers, BAs!

Picking up where I left off yesterday with more barrel aged action on this cold crisp autumn morning. A low of 36, but at least the rain has stopped for now and I actually caught a glimpse of the sun.

I'm not surprised with how much coffee is still around in this years batch considering how much there was fresh. Time to kick the feet up and watch the rest of The Dan Patrick Show. Cheers...

Edit: Saw @Shanex post above mine so one for a tribute.

    Yeah,I know it's cold but so is this . . .

Color of light hazy gold with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt tinged with orange and flowery hops. Not a heavy scent, rather mild actually, yet very clean.

This is not, I repeat not, a tart white wheat ale. Far from it, the flavor is rich and smooth with rounded depth. A spicy orange flavor is prominent but carries a dryness all the way to the finish. The malt is almost caramely but that may be partly due to the orange which remains a constant throughout. Simple flavors well interwoven, in short a class act.
