    Taste is malty and bolder than in the scent. More so than I've come to expect from Shiner products generally. Also the flavor is deceptively simple in that builds on the maltiness and grows deeper past mid palate to the finish. Hop presence is low, about like Yuengling Lager, yet there's enough to cut the malt richness.

    Allagash Brett IPA. 7.1% abv
    Dry hopped. Fermented on brett

    Its subtle being that its not bottle conditioned. A lot of clementine. Creamy feel. The brett adds an egg nog like flavor to this. So if you do or dont like egg nog, try this beer withthat in mind. Low carbonation. Very balanced. Low perseptive bitterness id say less than 50ibu if i had to guess. Overall i like the brett in this. Ive noticed allagash and ommegang being predominantly belgian brewers, have put out great ipas in the last year.
