Well this day couldnt have sucked more. I know! Lets have a DIPA drink-off! I start with Two Roads Two Juicy.
Pours a very slight haze with a 2 finger white head that settles quickly. Has a surprisingly subtle aroma of tropical fruit, grass and little pine. Lighter body that is not as full flavored as you might expect. Nice crisp bitterness. Very easy drinker for its 8.2%. Scary. Overall Not only Two Juicy but not too juicy at all. Hoppy Friday![IMG]

Tiring week for no real reason I can think of. Glad to have freedom to do nothing tonight and tomorrow if I see fit.

This is my 3rd craft brewed malt liquor in the past 2 months. This is a Dark Horse Brewery collaboration with Old Nation. I picked up a single of this on a business trip as a lark. This was a bit of a letdown compared to the others. There’s s lot of sediment in it and the booze isn’t well hidden.

    My haul today:

2nd Shift Artie is a wild ale brewed with 2 different yeasts and aged in oak with brettanomyces
Ballast Point Victory At Sea-High West Barrel Aged
    Founders CBS

Not a big fan of fruity beer but my local retailer promised I would like this so why not try it! If he was here I would shake his hand. Very good Grapefruit Sculpin IPA from Ballast Point.

The two places I go to get oysters often have them from Chincoteague and other places in Virginia and North Carolina. I haven’t tried them yet because I usually go for the Maine and PEI varieties. But I will definitely try the ones closer to home very soon

I feel your pain. My bride has holiday parties with poor beer offerings.

Normally, I dont drink when there is only shitty beer available (Im looking at you Houston Astros/Minute Maid Park). But at these holiday parties Im told "I want you to mingle. Have a beer with my co-workers."

If I can score a Stella and nurse it all night, thats a good holiday party.

As a kid that meant I'd get to watch this:

    Train Beer for Now

Foreign Objects - In the Gold Dust Rush IPA at 6.7%

Second offering from this brewery I'm just as many nights. Wow this is great stuff. Less straight lemon/lime citrus, although that flavor profile is still present, and more sweet tropical fruit and stone fruit with the same grassy, green hop notes followed by a bitter, crackery finish. More mouthfeel, more sweet, more malt, but still seems to be East meets West. These guys know their way around hops.
