    Good for you on recapping I am a firm believer in that. Did you use a bottle capper to get a good seal ?

    Yes. I always use a bottle capper (edit: and a new cap). I don't usually wait more than a day or two to finish the bottle, but sometimes it'll keep just fine for a week or more.

    I am not a big fan of bombers but that is the only way to get some beers. The capper then makes it work very well-open and pour what one wants and then recap right away.

    I just use the old cap as I am careful when opening. I can remember when I used to brew one had to sterilize the caps by boiling them for about 10 minutes to avoid any contamination.

    I managed to snag one. I gotta say it's a good brew, but, I'm a bit surprised at a couple of things. The bourbon isn't quite as tasty as the BCBS I've just tried recently. The maple syrup was very subdued in the flavor and nose, except when I stuck my sniffer into the bottle, then I got a nice maple quality. And the feel isn't as thick or sticky as I'd hoped. All in all, I'm glad I got to try it, It is a decent brew, for sure.

    In the past I'd wait for a special occasion for this beer but I was able to get enough this year that Tuesday is special enough.
