Deep golden color with white cap and good lacing.

Scent of piney, herbal hops with a touch of citrus zest. Malt in the background but it's an indistinct presence.

Taste on entry is hop forward with a piney sharpness and a heavier grapefruit like citrus. This is the predominate flavor into the aftertaste where sweet malt makes a bump of an appearance just before fade to black.

    Light-medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Fairly simple, tasty brew that only plays a few notes but plays them well.

Sticking to the tropical IPAs with great can art for now. This is a collaboration by a norwegian, danish and swedish brewery and it's pretty damn tasty! Juicy citrus and tropical fruit aroma/taste with a light bitterness, very nice NEIPA. It also comes in one of those cool cans where you take the whole lid off when you open them.

Drinking a Swedish macro Christmas lager beer. 5.8% abv, 30ibus, hopped with Cascade hops. It's quite well balanced between the dark malt and the hops, the malt flavors are a mix of sweet and roasted and the hops provide a solid bitterness and aromatic hoppiness. The smell isnät overtly American but compared with the hop aromatics of most Swedish beers they set themselves apart and when I had Stone Arrogant Bastard for the first time this beer came to mind even though it is more muted in its hop flavor.

A hop forward Christmas beer is really counter to Swedish brewing traditions, if one looks at brewing records from the early 1900s one finds that Swedish breweries brewed beers of higher than normal original gravity yet lower hopping rates than normal when brewing their Christmas brews (a Swedish lager beer might be brewed to around 13% OG using 200-250 grams of hops per HL, a Swedish pilsner beer might be brewed to around 12% and use 300-440 grams of hops per HL, while a Swedish Christmas beer might be brewed to around 15%-17% OG and use 50-100 grams of hops per HL). Regardless I still enjoy one this one quite a bit, it has a nice depth of malt flavors combined with a pleasant hop bitterness and hop aromatics.

Only cans for me today, I could get used to this. Nice Pale Ale, quite resinous and piney, with some citrus notes.
