Good morning BA, have a great Sunday and Christmas eve! We have some family coming over today for dinner. I did all the required shopping I needed yesterday, so I don't have anything to worry about today.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with some light honey, biscuity malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied/carbonation; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; lightly resinous/rindy and never astringent. Increasing drying finish. Super juicy stuff. Grabbed a 3 packs so far this year. I drank a lot last year, same with Born Yesterday. Holds up really well over a few months. A top favorite harvest ale every year.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, marshmallow, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness; with an amazing creamy/silky/velvety medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. Glad it was easier to find this year. Definitely my top favorite coconut beer, but there are plenty others I buy more often. Wish this was year round. I bought a full case worth of 4 packs this year. This, Born Yesterday, and Xocoveza are my top big buy beers of the season.

Incredible as always, fresh 4 pack I got last week. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; bready/grainy wheat/oat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank and juicy hops, with perfect malt balance. Never overly sweet/heavy. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. They stopped making Boxer for some reason, hope it returns in some other form. Glad Boss Tweed made it to distro recently. Way too many outstanding local NEIPAs now, I have plenty of favorites that I rotate through. This one has been seeing batch improvements since I first had it earlier in the year. This one is tasting exceptionally soft on the mouthfeel than some previous ones I've had. Wow.

Luckily found 2 more bombers of this recently. 1 year revisit! I know a lot of people hated this, but I loved it. This is fantastic! Aromas and flavors of huge wood/peat smoke, salt, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, toasted oak, brown bread, leather, and tobacco; with lighter notes of nuttiness, raisin, fig, date, citrus peel, and piney hops. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness and tannic oak/scotch spice on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; balanced creaminess, hop stickiness, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel; a touch of resin and slickness. Increasingly drying from bitter sticky/tannin notes; never astringent. Definitely way toned down on the hops of the base beer, but their character creeps in as the beer warms. The scotch is crazy huge. The nose is pretty much pure peat/leather/tobacco/salt at first whiff, but additional malt/barrel complexity eventually creeps in. The flavors showcase more of a balanced profile between sweet malt, hops, and scotch barrels. For 13%, really only mildly warming, and not boozy at all. Glad I have another bottle. You REALLY need to love Islay scotch to enjoy this beer. I can understand the polarity. Hasn't really changed much in a year according to my notes from November 2016.

Loving this album. Not my favorite one, but they don't make any bad albums.

Merry Christmas everybody, happy holidays and a nice extended weekend which never hurt.

We will gather with my mother's family tomorrow for lunch at my uncle's house. The grandma, the cousin, his wife and young boy. Tonight I will spend Christmas eve with my father.

Oh I am drinking Leffe de Noël. Not special but very appropriate today.

    This one . . .

Flavor on entry is malt forward but in a dryish sense which is to say a feeling of richness without sweetness. Hops make an entry mid palate but remain in the background. Aftertaste brings an almost herbal nuttiness forward and is a nice finishing touch.

Pretty much my go to these days. Not only is it amazing, it's also pretty cheap round these parts. Absolutely fantastic value for money. (I also have the BBA version in the fridge, saving that for later

Same. I think Cantillon is way overhyped. And 3F are better.
