Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good hump day so far. Just trying to stay warm over here, not much going on today other than relaxing and enjoying my week off of work.

Amazing wheat ale! Got a fresh pack this week, under 2 weeks old. Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, light honey malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; great bready/grainy wheat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing bitter dryness. Insanely drinkable and refreshing, with awesome Amarillo hop juiciness and vibrancy. Never pass this up when I see it now. Might get another pack this week if my corner store still has it in stock.

Tasting insane as usual, 2 weeks old. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with some light caramel/biscuity malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on finish. Medium bodied; sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a fair amount of balancing bready/grainy malt creaminess. Increasing resin dryness, never astringent. Super bright and dank on hops, extremely drinkable. Will always be a top favorite Ohio IPA, along with Columbus and White Rajah. The Market Garden Citramax is a new favorite also. Will probably be going through more than 1 pack this week since these are so fresh.

2017 is tasting amazing! Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of dark fruit, smoke, and charcoal. Roasted bittersweet and bourbon/oak spicy balanced finish. Full bodied, awesome creamy/silky/velvelty and lightly slick mouthfeel; with some lightly drying chalky roast and tannic oak/bourbon notes after the finish. Mildly warming finish, zero boozy barrel notes. Very smooth sipper. I thought the 2016 batch was an improvement over the original 2015 batch; this does another step forward for me with the higher ABV. Fantastic barrel integration/balance with the fruity/nutty coffee and rich malts; without being overly boozy on the barrels. I usually reserve most Weyerbacher BBA beer for a year or more, but this one does not seem to need as much mellowing from the barrel booze aspect. Glad I still have plenty more from this batch. Will be stocking up at the turn of the year once again.

Awesome stuff. Flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon, chili pepper, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of coconut, coffee, and smoke. Light roast bitterness and bourbon/oak/pepper spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full bodied. Nice bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel; slightly silky, sticky, chalky, and tannic. Lightly drying. Lightly warming 11%, zero barrel booze, very minimal pepper heat lingers. Really impressed with this one. Malt, spices, and barrel balance were pretty much perfect! Never overdone on the chili/spices, good flavor presence without the heat. Great complexity, and insanely smooth. Still got a few left, glad I got 2 packs. Not my favorite DM, but this does the Mexican stout style some good justice. Just got the Salted Caramel last week. Will review that one after holiday break.

Marz Holihaze NE IPA with Pinot Blanc and Riesling grape juice. Poured into my newest glassware, which I absolutely love. Definitely seems inspired by Trillium's Dialed In series. Dialed In is more complex and just better overall, but this is still an awesome beer. The dryness of the white grape juice balances out the sweet, juicy IPA. Cheers!
