Second Pour. Very tasty, not a syrup-like mouthfeel with cloying sweetness, but more medium-bodied, thin, a vinous quality, with raisin, brown sugar sweetness. Its nice, maybe for after a meal.

Had a regular last night with a year on it and tonight I'm having the BA version. I stand by what I said last night, I'd just as soon have a regular with a year on it. Don't get me wrong, this is still a good beer, the regular just hits on all cylinders for me.

Ok, bit of a rough first half but we scrapped out a 2-point halftime lead. Considering I think we were slightly out-played, I’ll take it.

Settling in for a Ruff second half:

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Another busy and pretty quick feeling day. Got one report completely done, got a ton of others due before the end of the month. Hopefully the newer programs leave me alone for a few more weeks.

    Today's reviews:

Mikkeller/AtG collab. Very good fruit beer/Czech pilsner. Aromas and flavors of juicy/lightly tart blood oranges, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate cracker, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness and blood orange tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts; with some light sticky hops and fruit tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing tart/bitter dryness; no cloying/astringent flavors. Perfectly clean lagering, zero yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.5%. Pretty unique, but well made. Hits the Czech pilsner base style really well; with the addition of some citrus/fruity American hops, along with the blood orange/zest. Very enjoyable. 3.78

Another new Cleveland brewery. Delicious rye DIPA. Apparently brewed with Vermont yeast as well. Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate caramel, spicy rye, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness and rye spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Minimal warming 8%, very drinkable. Extremely juicy and lightly dank hops; balanced malts without feeling overly sweet/heavy. Mosaic, Simcoe, and Citra hops. Really well made stuff. 3.9

Nice Berliner weisse. Aromas and flavors of juicy and lightly tart/tangy raspberries, red currants, lemon, pear, red apple, fruit skin/seeds, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and fruit tang on the finish. Medium carbonation, light body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderately increasing tart/tangy dryness; no puckering sourness. Very refreshing, 3.8%. A rare occurrence where the aromas were better than the flavors. Nice jammy nose going on; but the flavors felt watered down and not as heavy on the berries as I hoped. Still has nice balance and overall well made style example. Very enjoyable. 3.7

Brett Farmhouse IPA from Athens OH. Excellent stuff! Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, red apple, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grassy hops/yeast; moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and light musty funk/yeasty earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast spiciness, pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness; and light yeast tang/tartness on the finish. High carbonation, medium body, and moderate crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops/yeast in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds. Moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness; zero hop astringency. Refreshingly drinkable, 6.25%. Absolutely spot on stuff, drinks like a saison on style. Really great well rounded Brett/Saison yeast complexity and balanced citrus/fruity American hops; with a nice solid bready malt backbone. Loved it. 4.05

Good evening, all! This is my first go-round with the NEIPA: Old Nation M-43, courtesy of @jvgoor3786. I wasn't sure what to make of this at first. Juicy aromas, juicy mouthfeel, juicy flavors, juicy aftertaste. Brewer's notes claim 65 IBU, but the bitterness is quite understated. Now, after finishing off half the pint, everything is starting to become clear. Well, everything except for the beer. It's retaining its lovely milky haze to the very last drop.
