Its a Houston snow day , oh my...

Since I can't go anywhere today opened a growler of Celis White. From the new brewery that just opened in Austin, which is phenomenal. Finished up a unique book, and started another.





Saint Arnold White Noise is an homage to Celis, which does not quite get there but really close. That original Celis yeast is just something else. Started Ali Smith's Winter which is the follow up to here book Autumn. She is writing a novel for each season, chronicling the fictionalized future of Brexit, and amazing. Also really weird.





Probably some Founders Backwoods Bastard later tonight. It has been a productive morning

Orson Welles is on filmstruck this week - There is a stark poetry in theway he sees things. From the opening credits to that hairdo there is something Shakesperean about it. "Anything but your secret." You can count on Welles images to resonate without causing your head to ding as though you have been played. An introduction is often necessary. Captivated by shadows and reflections Welles has always been a master story teller.

Now that I have one out, I can see #s on bottom of can : 1397 8:17. Is that 8:17 am, or August , 2017? (The latter would be common occurrence for the local distributor.) In any event, it's good .

From what I can tell, Zucchero, at this point, seems like an Italian late-stage Willie Nelson. He collaborates with ~everybody.

I hear that there is/will be snow in some of the not-usual places. Hint : warm up , before you go shovel,scrape, & chip.
