    Sorry, @Beersnake1 , no beer yesterday for me, but today is a new day! Starting off with a pilsner from my favorite UK brewery, Cloudwater.

    Good Morning and Happy Thursday BA!
    after having Other Half's Second Anniversary DIPA yesterday, up today is Other Half's Third Anniversary Triple Dry Hopped DIPA..one of the smoothest 10%abv beers ive had, and a textbook example of why Other Half beers are so popular..a damn fine beer...cheers!!

    Beer brewed with eucalyptus, peppermint, juniper berries, lemon juice and salt. This is very well balanced, even though the eucalyptus is pretty pronounced, all the additives intermingle harmoniously without one drowning out the others. Nice for when you got a cold, I guess!

    Weird that the regular was 9%, and the DDH is 7.5 %... what do you think about it?

    Switching it up this morning and climbing the mountain, while getting breakfast together :slight_smile:



    Please be SAFE, for those attending the Eagles parade today !!

    I’m sad to say that I’m not going and will have to watch it live on local tv as this will be the first Philly Championship parade that I’m going to miss in my lifetime :slight_frown:

    The live updates already show 4 people deep along the lines of the parade route .
    They are expecting a million plus attending :slight_smile:

    I’m kind of surprised that my kids high school didn’t call it a day as only half of the students are expecting to attend . The teaching staff was sent memos that they will need a Dr.’s note for absence today . My kid actually has 3 tests/quizzes today .. I know it’s just a game, but let people enjoy the moment ..

    Good point. Not sure why. Maybe all the extra suspended hop particles lower the ABV as far as the relative volume goes? Never tried the non-DDH but this one was simply awesome. Just so well-balanced, fruity and smooth. I've seen it in several locations around my town so I'll try to grab more if I can (but first I have to drink what I have in my fridge because it's about to break from the weight). Been hoarding.

    Sounds good. My problem with the original was the boozyness that just overpowered everything else... hope I'll get to try this one!

    I'm very sensitive to booziness and this one definitely didn't express it at all. Maybe it's the lower ABV or perhaps a tweak in the recipe. But I agree. Booziness in an IPA/DIPA is just off-putting.

    Totally agree. It can work in darker, heavier beers, but not in hop driven ones, I think.

    Good morning and good afternoon BAs! Last night's snow apparently stopped as soon as I looked away - we got less than 1/4 inch overnight - barely enough for me to leave tracks outside the morning. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



    A nice, average DIPA.

    They are both double dry hopped, actually. At least according to the listing here on BA and RB. It's just that only this one has that in its name. The other one is a DIPA though, so it makes perfect sense that it has a higher ABV than this IPA.

    Bringing it down a notch with a Pale Ale clocking in at 2,9%, and I gotta say, it's the best sub-3% beer I've ever had... the Nelson really shines here...
