    Coconut fudge for breakfast:

Only a little carbonation left today. Like an old fool, I opened the bottle last night after drinking the Pirate Noir, consumed most of a snifter, then went right to bed. At least I corked the bottle first. Minus the minimal carbonation it had last night, still tastes great today. Cheers!

Good morning BAs! Starting a bit late - had to take Mrs. Lizard to an 0900 orthopedist appointment - she took a nose dive at a bridal shower Saturday and broke her right humerus AGAIN. So it'll be back to UPMC Hamot for more surgery. I suggested to the orthopedist (in my best Arnold Schwartzenegger voice) that they just remove the arm and replace it with a cybernetic one so the next time she falls it'll only dent and I can beat it out with a ball-peen hammer. Where's Arnold when you need him? Anyway, today's New Brunch Beer:

    A decent oatmeal stout.

I have to somehow get my hands on the BA version of this, Because this is hands down the best beer I've ever had! I had it on tap once at the Trillium Garden & thought the same, but somehow it's even better the second time around!

Another night shift in the books...and now for my last can of this:
...just under 4 months fresh (and drinking like a dream):

Although Other Half is known for their "haze crazed" hoppy ales, they certainly know how to brew a wonderful, mildly smokey Imperial Stout...this is beautiful stuff.

    Cheers everyone!

Happy Monday, All. I am off work today and do love some day drankin'.

    Cosmic Opposites from Casita Cerveceria.

The black IPA was pretty good, but the "white imperial stout" is the best of the pair, although that name is not an accurate representation.

New American Brewing Co. White Trash Lager . . .

Light ginger ale color with small white cap and some lacing.

Minimalist aroma that's clean and almost lightly lemony with a hint of floral hops.

Flavor on entry matches the scent perfectly. Light, simple, clean without the rough edges of some other AAL style beers. To their credit ingredients are listed on the can along with sliding scales showing color, malt and hop levels. Simple flavors well executed and it doesn't get harsh notes when warmed to room temperature. Just a bit of hop assertiveness (20 IBU) in the aftertaste.

Good gulping beer that's right at home in a 16 oz can. It's a lot like Hamm's with more hops which is an observation, not a criticism, though Hamm's beats it on price. Still, glad I got a chance to try it.

[IMG] Survived Monday, my Quest is to survive the week. Finally signing over my other house on Friday, a pretty painful $ loss, but this will hopefully help and at least I won't have to take care of 2 properties any more and the other mortgage for 6 months, ouch! Cheers
