What beer are you drinking now? #196

    took about 5oz from my WWS and 120 to try the epic Heaven and Hell black and tan. Sadly, it didnt seperate as the ABV is equal on both. The nose from the WWS is evident, a bit boozy with burnt malt notes. some citrus comes through on the nose as well. Taste is a huge citrus bomb. A bit of roasted malt, and a touch of booze. They need to blend and bottle this. Is insanely epic. I almost enjoy it more than WWS or 120 seperately.

    Churchkey in DC is about 15 mins away from the Brewery. The best place by far. Also, Meridian Pint is in the same area and is also a solid place.

    Just curious. I personally think it is a hot mess fresh but become crazy good with age 3+ years. If you have any extras I personally would recommend aging them, booziness really dies down.

    there was a lot of booze on the nose but i was really surprised that i didnt taste any. as it was, about a year old, it was freaking epic. ill look for some more to age thas for sure

    Lake Geneva Brewing Narrows. It's a Kolsch and very refreshing. I like it a lot.

    De Struise Weltmerz 2010 - a 3% barrel aged sour

    This is the only beer I've ever had with notes of roasted duck. Unusual, fruity, tart and tasty.
