    Brooklyn East IPA is good. Sadly I have never found their Chocolate Stout on the shelves here, only had it once from a webshop and never ever found it again.

    Speaking of which, I haven't visited New York in well over a decade. At the time I was staying in Montreal and took a greyhound bus down to the Big Apple for a week. Enjoyed it much, great city, but the NY Metro system was confusing and got me landed in the Queens instead of South Manhattan.

    That's my NY story.

    First of many many many maaaany beers that came back to NYC with me from Maine this past weekend. Felt like this one had to go first cause of the hop content and not wanting the maple to fade on me.

    Great stuff, even at three and a half months old. Seems like the perfect marriage between an east and west coast IPA with its malty yet resinous character and notes of orange rind, grapefruit, pineapple and pine.

    Haha, I would love to, but unfortunately there is no balcony or pool outside my window, just gray skies and rain... Maybe I'll wear a little skull armband next time, to make up for it :stuck_out_tongue:.

    Taste on entry is both malt and hop forward in about equal proportion. The spicy, citrusy, piney hops sing in unison with rich malt carrying the base parts. It presents and continues as an harmonious whole with everything working well together in a beautiful blend of concordant parts. The malt presence is particularly noted because that's often lacking in some Session IPAs. A Session IPA that comes across as a ramped up Pale Ale, this one's a real beauty backed by genuine talent.
