What beer are you drinking now? #1989

    Chimay Grande Réserve 2014.

    It's the Chimay blue in a large bottle (same beer that goes in the small bottles).

    Although not aged under perfect conditions this is wonderful. Some carbonation is lost of course, but there is still a surprising warmth of alcohol (not much of that escaped this bottle).

    I'm convinced now that it's worth the effort to put some of these away on a yearly basis. Most people say around 5 years is best for this beer. But some say even 25 years are very good. Wow! I wish I had that information 25 years ago :slight_smile:

    Wife & I arrived in Fla yesterday, to visit my daughter. Sitting in our hotel room in St. Petersburg, nursing a 3 Daughters Bimini Twist IPA, while waiting for daughter to come by and pick us up for today's adventures (which may include meeting up with a local BA for a drink at one of the many brewing concerns around here, if we can work that out).

    Those beers look good, but it will be tough to beat the vodka chicken IPA from Central Waters.
