Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Not much going on as usual today. Need to make a grocery run and maybe a beer haul as one of my local stores got a bunch of new stuff in yesterday. Going to be a bit chilly, but otherwise nice on weather.

Amazing as usual this year! Aromas and flavors of huge mango, melon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, berry, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey and spicy rye bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied with balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very mildly warming ABV, dangerously smooth. Insane dankness across the board. Glad I got a 2 6 packs for sure, might get another one. This is basically just imperial Born Yesterday IMO, very similar if not the same hops. Ekuanot, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic was the first batch, probably similar here. This has all of the same dankness at a much higher ABV, while remaining well attenuated and not overly sweet for over 11%. Mosaic and Ekuanot are my favorite hops.

3 year revisit, 2016 bottle. This was my 2900th review. This is mind blowing amazing! Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, fudge, brownie batter, licorice, dark bread, spicy rye, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, raisin, and prune; with light tobacco, leather, smoke, and char. Light roast/char bitterness and bourbon/rye/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Lightly slick, chalky roast, oak tannins, and dryness. No cloying sweetness, mildly warming 12%, no barrel booze. Lives up identical to what I remember in 2015. Very similar to Even More Jesus on malt complexity; with mellower roast/char and bitter hop character, perfect integration of Bourbon/Rye barrels. Got another BA Biscotti this week as well, so will be revisiting that soon. One of my top 5 beers of all time.

    Cheers

The good news: the snow all melted.
The bad news: it's still cold and cloudy.
    Have a good weekend!

I woke up to a dusting of snow, here, as well. My wife had today planned as our day to clean up all the dog shit in the back yard. (If you're a dog owner, you must be familiar with the Great Spring Reveal. yecccch). I really want to get the cleanup out of the way and not have to postpone it. We shall see. Wife's still in bed, I'll leave the rest of the coffee in the pot for her... I got this :

Seen/heard a few people that really like this year's batch. I've never been as big a fan as most, a damn fine beer but it doesn't grab me like other beers do. Hey, we're all different (some of us more than others :smirk:).

Founders KBS (still a little chilled) is hitting more with the coffee, the barrel aspects sneak in the back. Barrel influence grows with warmth. Damn good, but this year's doesn't have it jumping any higher than it already is in my book.

    Good Morning BA
A beautiful spring day here in southern Indiana...
Son is at baseball practice and wife and daughter went in to town to shop. I start nights tonight, so I'm going to have a couple beers this morning.
This one is nice canned 2/27. Only one liquor store in our area picked it up. I love the Sierra Nevada beer finder. I notice more and more with all the options, my favorite store doesn't always order what I want. Accurate beer finders make it nice to locate non-hype beers that you want to try fresh. Cheers all!
