Crack the shells and soak them in cold water. It allows the water to get under that membrane so they slip off. It may take 20-30 minutes for a duck egg but you will spend that long peeling them.

Also, are they really fresh and are they cooked enough? Have you checked one?

 

Fantastic collection of records you have. What do you think of the Lateralus (Pic Disc.)? I have that one also and noted more background noise on playback. Super cool to have but sound is a little off on mine.

Disgruntled Imperial Brunch stout....this beer is still very tasty. The maple is still very prominent as well as the barrel.

Aberlour was the one fave I'd yet to see at our local Total Wine, but today was my lucky day - not only did they have the 12-year-old I'm familiar with, but this 16-year-old I just couldn't pass up (managed to control myself and ignore the 18-year-old next to it lol)... Needless to say, had some before dinner - and goddamn, whatta great fucking Scotch...

Blackberry Farm Brett Saison, and I'm in love! A really nice weave of barnyard, hay, spices, a crazy juicy-fruit gum thing, nice fullness with a crisp dry feel, and a long oaky white wine finish. Thanks again, man!

Friday is my day to make good decisions. I had this on tap last summer and this is my first bottle. Huge vanilla and a bit hot as expected. I'm hoping to keep the rest for a while - should be interesting.
