This is the Johnsonville Sizzlin' Sausage Grill with Johnsonville brats. There is no finer meat experience, with meat in this shape. From Sheboygan, WI.

 

Perhaps not the best Imperial Stout I’ve had today, but pretty f-n good.

 

This is still tasting excellent. Flavors of big juicy/lightly tart blueberries, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, vanilla, coffee, and dark bread; with lighter notes of bourbon, toasted oak, and smoke. Light roasted bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Slight bourbon/oak spiciness. Great bittersweet balanced finish. Medium-plus bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel; light chalky roast, fruit acidity, and oak tannins. Touch of bitter roast/tart fruit dryness. Insanely smooth. Great balance of fruit and stout; barrel isn't huge, but you get nice pleasing amounts of barrel complexities, without any booze. I grabbed well over 4 packs worth as singles/full packs last. Same with the BBA Toonilla. Really well priced. Hope they do them again this year.


Incredible as always. Finishing off another 4 pack. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; bready/grainy wheat/oat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank and juicy hops, with perfect malt balance. Never overly sweet/heavy, awesome soft mouthfeel. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. Boxer is finally coming back as Cart Horse, hopefully the next couple weeks. Can't wait to try it again. I always liked it a bit more than M43 overall, from what I remember at least. Been a long time. Got 2 more packs of Boss recently, as it just went to 6 month seasonal until the fall.

Happy Friday the 13th! (Part 2 of the horror series was filmed right here in good ol' Preston, CT. btw)

Sipping on some New England brewing Spin Cycle #8 (rotating hop series) which happens to be an IPA brewed with Mosaic, El Dorado, Citra along with some flaked oats and wheat. Also have a few cans of Fuzzy Baby Ducks to mix in as well.
