What beer are you drinking now? #2003

Man I really want to like their stuff but there is too much in Tulsa for me to go there too often. Cabin Boy Brewing is next door and offers more. Their 10 year anniversary is in a few weeks but I just can't bring myself to buy a $35 ticket when there are better options in walking distance.

Looks like it’s dead flat, and the smell isn’t amazing, but the flavor is very good coffee BA beer.

So so glad it's back!

 

I will have to check out Cabin Boy. I think they do good with their German Stuff & the Cask Conditioned Pub Ale is legit ( or was the last time I had it ). The Black Dolphin is Solid. They are not really one to change with the times style-wise that is for sure

Moderate pour yields a one and a half inch white head over a slightly hazy, light golden body with some lacing. Nose of saison yeast with a real nice bit of funk. Taste of saison spiciness with a nice dry finish. A tad thin on the mouthfeel but overall a really good representation of the style. Nice job and cheers to Athens, Ohio!

They should be legally forced to change the name of this to something else if they aren’t going to brew actual Swish again, or at least put “Swish” on the can. This is a gross, fruity mess. Swish was a dank, hoppy bastard that wasn’t anything like drinking puree.

The beer was so nice, I had to have it twice.

 

This is wayyyyy tf hoppier than the past few years we've had--it's closer to a black IPA, super piney, sharp harsh and bitter, even exhibiting the ruggy, cat pissy characteristics of an overly hopped, past its prime West Coast IPA. Very disappointed because I've loved all my previous bottles of Darkness.



Cool label though--especially having just played the newest Tomb Raider, which features some hallucinations of Baba Yaga.
