This beer is fantastic...everything you would expect from these two breweries (more like institutions).

Thanks @The-Adjunct-Hippie. This was a delicious spiced porter. Awesome head retention/thick soapy lacing on the glass. Flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, ginger, pepper, mint, anise, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of nuttiness, coffee, dark fruit, and herbal/grassy spice earthiness. Similar/muted aromas, a bit more fruity. Very mild herbal, spice, and roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy/silky/bready malt mouthfeel; slight sticky spicy and chalky roast. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/spice dryness. Very rich and complex for 5.5%. Really impressive with awesome balance between porter malts and chai spices; nothing is overwhelming at all. Great mouthfeel for the ABV. 3.91


New Biomimicry, hazy sour IPA this year. This was amazing! Fantastic lasting head retention and thick foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus zest, and light pepper/piney hops/Brett; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malt balance; light leathery/musty funk, herbal/floral/grassy hop, and yeasty earthiness. Very mild herbal/grassy bitterness and tart/peppery Brett on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; bready/grainy malts; light sticky hops and acidity in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing tart/bitter/spicy dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very drinkable, 6.2%. Amazingly well rounded Brett complexity, balanced juicy/light dank hops; and a nice bready malt backbone. Citra and Azacca. Can't wait to try the Jolly Pumpkin/Stillwater Losing Our Ledges soon. Should be pretty similar. This reminds me of JP on the house funk. 4.33

Bottle poured into a teku glass

Massive three finger off white foam cap, sticky lacings over a deep amber hazy liquid with micr streams of carbonation

Aroma of banana, cloves

Taste throws me off a bit. You get the classic banana and clove Hefeweizen flavors and then there is a hop bite, not too sharp. Lingers on the tongue. Sweet in the beginning tart at he end

Dry finish

Good beer

 

I thought this one was tasty so I got a pint.
They have 120 Minute IPA sitting over there and I’m drooling to get one on the way out. They are hot but I have a fridge in the room. I’m getting a Racer 5 too, but it’s cold.

 

Id love to get a buzz but it probably wont happen.

Last one today and sadly I am doing great, nice buzz but not hammered. This is a nice English BarleyWine, loaded with dark fruit, cherried Oak, a tickle of alcohol, and vanilla. No complaints from me.
