Sexual Jams. Brix city collab with district 96. This is amazing. District 96 in new city, NY started as a beer pub called burger loft with amazing burgers and great tap list. They are brewing now but not canned yet. Tomorrow they're gonna do sexual fluctuation with equilibrium. All their beer names have a distinct tone...;-). Great place if ur in the area. Cheers

First of all sorry about no pictures. I have tried many times but keep floundering. Makes me feel old. So anyhow..... I just came from Big Mikes Barn where we had a 16 ounce can of "money" IPA or something like that from NYC that was totally outstanding. We split a growler can of BA Siberian Nights that was stupid good and then had a can of Ballast Point IPA that was on sale for 7.99 a 12 pack that was amazing for the price. Toss in a shot of Bulliet Bourbon and I drove the 1/4 mile home while I could still make it. A GREAT END TO A HARD WEEK. edit... I just found the hidden bag of chocolate covered almonds!!! Bhuahaaaa..

Daily lager review. This was nice. Great head retention/spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; with mild herbal, grassy, peppery hops. Touch of fruit/skunk in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.8%. Never watery. Perfectly clean lagering. Quite impressed for an import. Was a month before BB dating. Nothing but clean pils malts and decent earthy hop presence/balance for the style. Definitely not an AAL. It's pretty damn obvious(to me). Not much skunk for the green bottles at all. Wouldn't mind having it again, Chinese restaurants etc. 3.68

Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with lighter notes of toffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark fruit, and herbal/grassy hops. Similar/muted aromas, a bit more fruity/yeasty. Mild herbal/grassy/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready malt mouthfeel; mild sticky hops and chalky roast. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/roast dryness. Very rich and flavorful for 5.5%. Spot on stuff! Very rich well rounded English malt complexity; mild fruity yeast and earthy hop balance. Would love seeing more English browns being made by local breweries, actually most English styles for that matter. 3.78

Small Waterbury batch.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white head over a bright golden body with some sticky lacing. Nose of slight tropical fruit as well as a tiny bit of of some floral attributes as well. Very nice and subdued aromas with the little bit left in the can exhibiting a very pleasant olfactory experience. Taste mirrors nose very, very nicely with a smoothness rarely found in IPAs these days. Extremely nice finish of gentle bitterness and dryness. Nice feel and overall what a nice beer right here. Cheers to the crew at The Alchemist in Waterbury for this gem! Be nice!
