What beer are you drinking now? #2011

Last night I had the first beer on my front yard bench since last November. The months this year have gone January, February, a hybrid of March and February, then February and now the last week of April it actually seems like the last week of April. I don't trust it. I think this calls for a Baltika 9 or two and howling at the moon with my neighbor's dog.

 

Initially bought two 6 packs this year. Saw they had a second drop, picked up another case.
So good. They should hold up a couple months.

Haha. Are you surprised? In my mind the only beer worse than Coors Light has "Natty" in its name. I actually used to like MGD pretty well for what it is, but I haven't had one in years.

@CanConPhilly, this Wet Gravity from Foreign Objects is pretty good. Juicy flavors that aren't allowed to bloom fully thanks to a nice blanket of pithy to raw neutral bitterness. I didn't see oat flakes involved with this or Chaos Therapy, but there's a feel to bitterness that reminds me of them. This one is a bit more fruity and not quite as bitter as Chaos Therapy, which I think I may like just a tad more than Wet Gravity. This beer is quite good, but it sorta doesn't stand out from many other good NE IPAs, in many senses.

 

Bought this one as part of a build your own six pack. Not the best IPA I have ever had but still very enjoyable.

 

One of the good things Lagunitas foes is make brews that have a higher abv that go down well. Thus is one of them. And its pretty good Im just not nuts about it.

From a local brewery I used to visit too frequently.

 

Mondays are up there for me... #2 is another Odd13 DIPA, I-P-Aliens. Made with Apollo, Comet, and Galaxy (all space themed). On the sweet side for a DIPA, and not my fave, but completely drinkable. Their stuff as a rule is very solid. Cheers all!
