Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Not much going on, another normal Sunday with bottle returns, laundry, and a grocery run later on. Supposed to be getting some storms rolling in later on.

This is amazing! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, charred oak, and brown bread sweetness; with lighter notes of coconut, vanilla, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light-moderate bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky/resinous/rindy hops, and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter/resin/tannic dryness. Lightly increasing warmth of 12.2%, mild barrel booziness lingering after the finish. Completely exceeded all expectations. Huge juicy and dank Chinook, Mosaic and Simcoe hop complexity from reDANKulous; awesome malt balance and barrel integration. Not overly sweet for the ABV. LIked it a lot more than the base beer too. Feels more dank than I remember, even with the barrel aging.

Absolutely insane coffee stout as always. Flavors of huge nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, toffee, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, dark bread, and smoke; with some herbal/woody/spicy hops, and light charcoal/dark fruits. Bittersweet balanced roast/char/hop finish. Full bodied creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel; light chalky roast and sticky hops. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/roast/char dryness. Super smooth, minimal warming ABV. Insanely complex and well balanced fruity/nutty coffee and rich malts. Have been enjoying this pretty often with the smaller format. World class beer. Glad we finally got some fresh cans recently. Always like it more fresh than aged, as with most coffee stouts.

2013 Vintage Edition of Schneider Weisse Tap 6 Aventinus, quite fascinating compared to a fresh bottle.

Attractive red brown color with pinkish white cap and lace.

Aroma of wood, heavy dark fruit and sour cherries.

Flavor is very tart and very sour, yet pleasingly rich and complex. What is get is mostly the dark fig, sour cherry thing intermingled with wood in a layered complexity which comes across as a rounded whole.

Insane NE DIPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, guava, lemon, citrus zest, berry, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very minimal pine, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet or heavy feeling on malts for the body/ABV; perfectly balanced. Still have 6 cans left from the most recent batch. They are supposed to be releasing a new DIPA soon, as this is a 6 month seasonal now. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs, but I love a lot of other ones as well. I always have one of their beers in the fridge. I hope they make more M-43 variants, and keep Cart Horse year round.

Fantastic scotch ale as always. Flavors of big caramel, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, bourbon, toasted oak, brown bread, raisin, prune, plum, fig, cherry, and date; with lighter notes of chocolate, nuttiness, peat smoke, and leather. Touch of butterscotch and coconut. Light herbal hop bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy and fairly silky mouthfeel; lightly slick, sticky, chalky, and tannic from bourbon/oak and roast malts. Slight tannic dryness. Lightly warming 9.5%, no barrel booze. Extremely impressive and well rounded on complexity. Not overdone/boozy on barrel notes. Great mouthfeel, very smooth. Might grab another 4 pack, but been doing singles because I can. Just got another release last fall. Still plenty around. CW has basically only been sending MI the reserve and limited bomber releases. Wish they sent their year round stuff, but I am glad to have these always easily available. Love all of them, but Peruvian Morning is the definite top favorite.

I am drinking Kollaborationsbiermittschechisschemhopfenundwilderbakterienhefekombination, a Farmhouse Ale from Jester King, Texas, ABV 4.0%. The name might not be easy to remember but this beer is easy drinking. The flavor is biscuit, lemon, grapefruit, champagne, perhaps a modest yeasty funkiness. It is fairly mild but thirst quenching in the hot Texas weather. I took the picture inside but I am sitting outside in my dark backyard admiring Jupiter, which is bright tonight.

The name literally means "collaboration beer with czech hops and wild bacteria yeast combination", by the way. Although a better translation might be Mixed Fermentation Collaboration Beer with Czech Hops and Wild Yeast.
