Good morning and good afternoon BAs! @SawDog505, thanks for today's early start! I hope you and @DoctorZombies enjoy Sunday's meet and that a couple new brews appear in NBS!

Today is starting out blindingly foggy here in NW PA, almost like the start of a fall morning. Took my son to Der Brauhaus in Cleveland for dinner last night and tonight the plan is to go to Wexford (a 'burb of PGH) to The Thai Place. Since Mrs. Lizard is OTC this week, it's a good time to eat at places I like and Mrs. Lizard doesn't. When she gets back Sunday, it's back to buttered greasy Murrican cooking. Only three weeks to Scotland and all the salmon I can eat!

Today's New Breakfast Beer is from a ninja box from @2beerdogs - thanks, Derek, for the Bruery Terreaux items that never make into your Far East!

Picked this one up in northeast IN this week. Hopslam Lite...


Pretty good stuff really, but seems to fall off quick if you check reviews vs. age. Pulling a short turnaround to get back to work by 4. My coworker stayed an extra two hours last night so I could attend my daughter's 8th grade promotion. Sending him home early tonight to start his weekend. Cheers all!

Very attractive orange gold color with creamy white cap.

Yes, it does smell like pineapple, backed by citrus and pine.

Flavor is quite citrus fruity with pineapple leading the charge but not dominating. These tasting notes sound simple but this is a very complex brew resting on a solid malt base. I get a bit more of the piney high notes in the finish and aftertaste but find those add a refreshing finish.

 

I thought we would drive down to Portland today, but it looks like much better/warmer day on tap right here. I’ve been up for a couple of hours, and just getting around to some chilled coffee:

I think you nailed the tasting notes...I like this variant perhaps the best of the Sculpins - Cheers!

How does it hold up after traveling that far east?

Oxbow Brewing FS44 a maibock and a delightful one at that. At my favorite Portland spot.

 

Bell's Oberon for lunch at where else... Bell's brewery in Kalamazoo.

 

Allagash/ Oxbow collaboration Wild Rivulet a coolship Sour. Pretty tasty. I liked the maibock better.
