Dogfish Head Midas Touch Ancient Ale, 9% ABV. Pours cloudy yellow, with a one finger white head. Nose is malt, honey, and sweet grape. Taste is sweet grapes, almost no bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Daily lager review. This is good stuff! Great head retention and spotty soapy lacing down the glass. Aromas and flavors of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy hop earthiness. A bit of fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very flavorful and pretty refreshing, minimal warming 5.6%. Very clean lager flavors, minimal fruitiness. Surprisingly tasty overall. Very clean and nicely rich barley/grain flavors and mild earthy hop balance. Not overdone on the corn adjuncts at all. Being from Pabst I was kind of already expecting to like it. 3.58


Saison from Roughtail. This was awesome! Great head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, red apple, peppercorn, citrus zest, light pine, and light banana/clove yeast; with moderate wheat, white bready malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/zesty bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5%. Awesome juicy, vibrant, light dank hops with balanced yeast complexity; solid bready malt backbone. Big fan, the Denali showcase was outstanding. 4.1
