What beer are you drinking now? #2060

Good morning and good afternoon BAs! It's starting out as an overcast day here in NW PA - no doubt getting me prepared for next Monday when I'll be in Scotland. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Not bad.

 

Gonna be 90 degrees today so starting off with something light and refreshing. Yes, the photo is from their web page which I am posting with permission.



Hazy light yellow color with white cap.

Slightly tart, spicy aroma backed by crackery malt.

Flavor on entry is just so slightly tart quickly followed by Belgian spices. The orange and coriander come across as more spicy than citrusy and are present without being bold.

Light-medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Brewer calls this a Belgian Style Spiced White Ale and what we have is a Summertime beer that's firmly in the light quaffing camp that doesn't pretend to be more than it is. Belgian yeast and spiciness are decidedly on the mild side yet present enough to elevate the brew above the usual light Summer fare. Refreshing, unobtrusive and nicely done.

 

I somehow find myself with Monday and Tuesday off. Thunderstorms again it looks like and no real money to go do anything. I wasn't gonna start drinking yet but threw this on tv. Fuck it

 

Now, where was I...oh right! Something hoppy and bangin'. Cheers all...

Took the day off from work, to come up to meet with the pro's that I hired to clean up the mold in the crawlspace beneath our camp. I brought up the lawnmower and mowed the grass, while they did their initial vacuuming & scrubbing.. When they are ready to start applying the fungicide, I'll head back to Albany. Right now, just hanging and enjoying myself.
