I can't decide for which of the two I should be more excited. The fact that I am having a Hurricane or the fact that I am enjoying it in a Hoof Hearted All-Star #3 Teku which I've been trying to add to my collection since for ever... Thank you @smi69 for the beer!

 

Good morning and good afternoon BAs! After yesterday's rains and tornado warnings, today is starting out sunny and bright. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Starts off average and ends up tasting like I've got a mouth full of mixed metals. Well, it's off to the kitchen drain.

Took a day off from drinking and posting yesterday. Cold front blew through last night. Temps should be quite nice into the weekend. Breakfast coffee:

A beautiful morning and I'm in a cheerful mood . . .



A medium golden color with more white cap than I usually get from a wheat ale.

Aroma of soft malt with some citrus touches. A mild sort of scent but a pleasant one.

Taste is soft malt at first followed by a dryish sort of citrus. Not tart and not sweet, rather nicely balanced in between. I get a definite hop hit in the back of the palate and lingering in the aftertaste.

 

I finally got to try Parabola from Stone, a Russian Imperial Stout, ABV 12.70 IBU 40. It is hyped but very good. The flavor is roasted malts, caramel, it is sweet and significant bourbon, chocolate and vanilla, maybe some coffee. It's complex so it is hard to say exactly what it taste like but it is great. A truly great beer.

Great beer from Firestone Walker. Or is it Keystone? I can't tell anymore.

 

I don't normally drink beer this early but when I do, it's usually because I'm cooking.
I'm making a BEER Cheese dip from a recipe I found in Mexico while I was on vacation. It sounded interesting so here I go. You cook it in slow cooker. Couldn't just throw away a perfectly good Dale's Pale Ale because the recipe only calls for a 1/2 cup of beer.

I'll share the results later. It'll be ready this afternoon. Time enough to get more Dale's Pale Ale.

Worse soccer glass ever. Doesn't matter what beer I pour in it, you can't tell it's a soccer ball. Anyway, looking forward to some international soccer over the next month. Cheers 'till later.
