Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch tan head over an almost black body. Head dissipates to nothing in a few minutes taking scant lacing with it. Nice nose of chocolate, coffee, and dark, roasted malts. Taste of all kinds of chocolate: bitter, dark, milk, unsweetened, you name it! Good feel, but was hoping for more. Overall, would have another. Cheers!

 

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. Free sample from Altech, same company makes ag products and beer. The beer reminds me of cream soda from my youth, not my jam. Cheers!

 

Surly Furious---One damn solid and balanced IPA

 

I don't remember much, but I am told I enjoyed several Moosehead in the later years of that time frame. What I definitely remember is exponentially better label art.

 

I picked up a 4-pack of Moosehead tallboys a few weeks ago, or months maybe. It was actually delicious and $1 per pint, or whatever Canadians use as their measurement system.

Well I just put in 12 hours of working the floor as a 60 year old...my ankles are killing me and my feet are sore. I stopped at Big Mikes and polished off a Heady Topper, Focal Banger, a B-72 from 14th Star and finished it off with a 12 ounce can of Lord Hobo Glorious. Needless to say yes....I over indulged and yes....I feel much better. TGIF!!
