What beer are you drinking now? #2112

Been at work for a few hours waiting for a delivery that still hasn't arrived. It was a bit cloudy earlier but now the sun's out so I decided to grab a chair and a beer and make the best of it. Drinking the Mikkeller K:rlek pale ale at 4.9% ABV. Which is kind of fitting. Once the delivery gets here I can go to the post office and pick up my first package from Mikkeller Beer Club. Excited to see what's in the box.

Finished the Funky Buddha Rum Barrel Aged Piña Colada this morning (much better at room temp), on to a Stevens Street on a day off. Dry, crisp, tasty.

I love when bands do this.

Got this in a prize raffle at a fundraiser. Looked at most of the beer and thought I need this like a third nut.

Poured from a 12 ounce into a pint glass. Brownish yellow with a medium sized head that went away quickly with decent lacing. Nice bready malty smell and taste. Nice mouthfeel.

I drank this after doing some yard work and was a sweaty mess. It was fine for quenching my thirst pleasantly. I'm glad I didn't pour it down the drain. Maybe a saison would've been better aesthetically but this was here and free (almost). I hope that keeps me from being an insufferable beer snob.

What can I say? A buddy saved a pint of Eddyline's Black Eddy (IPA) for me, and months later, this still drinks smoothly.
Advantage to the Black IPA style; I don't notice the hops fall off as immediately as with a regular IPA. Just sayin'. Cheers!

Citra pale ale by odd side. I just saved a sparrow that couldn't fly from my mower. Put him by the neighbors pond and trees. If you ever have to calm a bird, throw your shirt over it. Worked wonders for me this time at least. Hopefully the little guy gets his groove back.

 

Omg the closed caption on that song is hilarious. The blacker the fieri, the sweeter the shoes. Yeah, that's how that goes HaHa!

 

Yeah, I like picking songs once in a while not because I like the song, but because it's thematic and...admittedly, quite annoying (occasionally). Good stuff...

 

@spicoli00 was saying in another thread that he plans to "Block" any users that post yesterday's/last night's beer(s) in WBAYDN. 8=( I ocCANsionally do that, but it is at the end of a brewery horizontal, beginning with the most current one, like right NOW & working back to the initial beer so that people CAN see the progression.

I’ve been drinking only ipas and red wine for over month trying to cut some calories and deal with the heat . Yesterday I just missed my stouts too much , so the manager handed me two I’ve never tried.. First up !!

First time having this as the manager told me they just got them in and he had a cold Sixer for another customer .
Label sounded real interesting from the variety used to create this stout .
I haven’t had a stout in over a month and they are my favorites so here we go .
Rich black color with a nice head on an average pour ..
Smell was not anything overpowering as maybe I expected too much .
Taste was fantastic and got better as I sipped through the glass .
Wonderful mouthfeel that coated the tongue .
Overall a really well done stout .. I wish it had a little more barrel, but I got exactly what was advertised .
Highly recommend !!

Duvel Tripel Hop, one of my favorites.
You can see some bubbles besides the swirl in the middle of the glass. This indicates that the glass is not very clean. Yes, I'm sorry. Since it's my own glass in my own home, it's not a big problem. Have to use a tiny bit more soap next time (glasses are all hand washed of-course).

Normally you should only see the swirl in the center. Caused by the engraved letter 'D' at the bottom of the glass.
