Another Friday evening of listening to "Classical Guitar Alive!" - a very enjoyable program tonight. But now it's time to edge toward the odd side of things...

Might be in reference to a recent post I made. Fast is fine. There just needs to be some sort of melodic thing along w it instead of just banging loud & fast.

I guess I am one of the rare ones... I've been a member for so long and gone through so many iterations my numbers were basically unchanged. Seen a lot in 14 years. Still, Champion is a very worthy title and requires a lot to get to. Here's hoping you get more back when everything shakes out,

Amazing PB porter! Glad these are in cans now. Aromas and flavors of huge peanut butter, milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of smoke, dark fruit, and herbal hops. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy/bready and fairly silky malt mouthfeel; light sticky hops and chalky roast. Lightly increasing lingering hop/roast bitter dryness. Very rich for 6.2%. Tons of PB and coffee flavor, with great balance of the base porter. Spot on style. Will be buying this a lot, glad we get Hoppin' Frog in MI now. An old hometown favorite brewery for sure. They make some of the best Russian imperial stouts.

Super new Stillwater IPA. Very nice as expected. Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; bready/grainy wheat/oat and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds near the end of the glass. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, 6.5%. Nice soft feel. This tastes like 100% Simcoe hops. Well done NEIPA. Juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy balanced hop complexity; nice spelt/oat/pale malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. Rarely been disappointed by their IPAs lately.

Oh, definitely give it a shot, it's straight up a well made beer. Fwiw, based on the label I expected something a lot hoppier than it is, but it's really at Pils levels and not overdone at all. With this style you shouldn't promise an "explosion of hops" in the first place, but I guess that's the times we're living in...

ETA: it actually says "hoppy explosion" on the label. I really should be more judicious in my use of quotation marks, it would seem.
