Another wet and gloomy day here. The birds are having a field day in the yard, presumably grabbing worms.

    Cheers!

So I understood. And I was pleasantly surprised to see Alefarm in the Mikkeller web-shop, since their own site is more or less a link tho their Facebook page. I ordered Folding Water, Saturated, Open Doors, Monstera and Symbiosis.

Most Cloudwater is rather awesome. I found cans in Amsterdam now an then (not de Bierkoning, but Sterk they sometimes have very limited supply).

Had to look it up but till now I've had their: DDH Chinook Citra, DIPA Citra Cryo, IPA Simcoe Ekuanot, DDH Citra Ekuanot and Cloudwater/ La Brasserie du Mont Salève Pompettes.

I was suspecting that it was the Danish part that was slow. No big problem to me. I'm, happy they ship international at Mikkeller. (I'll be back somewhat later)

    Cheers!

I tried reviewing a beer yesterday for NBS. It timed out, and my entire review disappeared into cyberspace. I was so pissed that I stopped drinking for the day. Haha!

Needless to say, back at it again with this DIPA from Electric Brewing. This is one cloudy mothereffer. If I had taken it in my kitchen, you would be able to tell better. Here's hoping it tastes good. Cheers, advocates!

In your humble opinion, who is making the best IPAs across the pond?

Cloudwater are the ones to beat in my opinion. Alefarm are really making progress and Stigberget are usually very good. But Cloudwater is just too consistently great to dismiss. Oh, and almost forgot Lervig, they always rock.

I know of Cloudwater, yes. Just no access to it. How would you compare to some of your favorite IPAs in my neck of the woods?

Cloudwater are usually not quite as juicy as the Americans, a little bit drier and more mineraly, but cleaner. Usually ridiculously easy to drink. I’ll bring you one in November!

I was in Colorado for work all last week and have meetings in Manhattan tomorrow and Thursday, so taking an easy day today.

Had a friend over on Saturday to share some beer and test Modern (meaningless to most of you, but some of the nerds will get it). I pulled out some Casey and Oxbow, he brought some Tree House and Singlecut. Good times. He left this one from HVB behind for me.

This is my second beer from this hype factory. I remember liking the first, but hating that I like it. Let’s see how this one goes.

I love Omnipollo, but for straight IPAs, I wouldn’t put them at the top. For crazy concoctions, sure...
