I'm rather surprised that today's thread hasn't started earlier...

Clear lighter shade of gold color with white cap.

Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops with a bit of sharp hop edge.

Flavor is remarkably similar to the scent with more emphasis on the malt. Hops are present from start to finish showing more presence toward the end. Clean, refreshing flavors that meld well into a seamless whole.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall I think it's a good effort toward a food friendly pale ale that's interesting enough for beer fans and not too challenging for those who simply want a cold one.

Two incredible beers I picked up last night, and CANNOT wait to finish off tonight. Double Nickel's can design is absolutely TOP NOTCH, and the 5.7% NEIPA was much needed on a relaxing Wednesday night. Two Brothers makes great sours, and this might be their best yet with a great pear flavor. SEEK these out, trust me you won't regret it!

Good morning, BAs! Thanks @thisischuck01 for this interesting hop combo. Never tasted anything quite like this before.

Liking it in the same way I like meeting a super-weird friend of a friend. Don’t necessarily want to hang out with them a lot, but at least they’re not boring you to tears!

Think I'll stay true to the brewery I started out with and have another fine offering...TRVE 'Seven Doors'...

I rated this a 4.13 overall early last month. My BA review:

Soft, hazy yellow body crowned with a thick, rocky, creamy head. Mild lemony aroma; citrus. Tart, punchy flavor; undertones of lemon rind and light cereal grain base; fairly bitter. Medium body with a light sourness; dry overall.

This beer delivers some nice dry, tart, and wheat-like qualities. Even at 6.1% ABV, it makes for a fine hot weather sipper.

...an odd paring of Albert Collins with John Zorn, but a great bit of guitar playing was still the result...

Good morning, all! This is another of the TG Hy-Vee exclusives I picked up yesterday: Loaded Toad Lager. I couldn't find any information on this when I was adding it to the database, so I selected "American Pale Lager" as the style. Upon further investigation, I don't think that's correct. This has a lot of malt complexity, with a fruity note and a spicy and peppery hop bite that lingers on the palate. It seems more like a pilsner to me, but I'll wait for someone else to make that call once a few more reviews are in. Whatever it is, though, it's really good!

Going with a barrel-aged South Carolina wild ale...very satisfying...

A very fine wild ale, supposedly spirit barrel aged (but no additional information on the label or the brewery's web site). One thing is for sure -- it's tart, acidic, very fruity, with a nice balanced sweetness and dryness throughout. It got an overall BA score of 4.03 from me.

I drink this beer every time I come to Sweden. Lundabryggeriet Svartepetter. They call it a “black double bock.”

You can see the malt and hops used here:

For me this beer drinks like an American Brown Ale. Almost like DFH Indian Brown. There is strong dark bread character. The centennial hops shine through. It’s bitter and roasty, and also has coffee, chocolate and cola notes. It hides the 8.3% very well. I’m enjoying this beer and even more so than I remember myself enjoying it in the past.
