Happy hump day ba. A decent ofest to take the edge off a long shit day at work. Comes in 6-pack tall boys too,

 

A DIPA I’ve always wanted to try and when I found out I was a 20-minute ride from being able to get it, you damn right I hopped in the car.
Wow. So smooth. Big pine/malt presence, which coexists with the bitterness very nice. Alcohol burn is pretty minimal, but the first few sips have hit the head. Definitely an old school DIPA, but awesome that I have finally got it and it is definitely worthy of the praise.

Crushing it tonight................

 

Great American porter. Fantastic head retention/foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of raisin, plum, citrus/zest, smoke, char, and herbal/floral/grassy hops. Pretty muted aromas. Very mild herbal, floral, grassy, zesty hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with very creamy/silky/bready malts; slight sticky hops and chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering hop/roast dryness. Very drinkable, 6%. Spot on style, not overly roasty or bitter. Very clean and nicely rich malt complexity; mild fruity yeast and balancing citrusy Centennial/Cascade hops. 3.96


Another NEDIPA with Kveik yeast. This was very nice! Very hazy/murky, great lasting head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, red apple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops/yeast; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; herbal/floral/grassy hops, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy wheat/oats and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness. Light lingering hop astringency, but not overwhelming. Very smooth despite aggressiveness, mildly increasing warmth of 10.2%. Feels like Amarillo/Columbus hops mostly. Very juicy/dank/earthy balanced hop complexity with fruity yeast; nice wheat/oat/pale malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Very well attenuated for the ABV. 3.88

Instant new favorite. Basically the same style as the Ocean. Prog/Sludgy metal.

 

I’ve seen that beer here once and it was about 4 years ago. To this day it’s one of the most memorable IPA’s I’ve ever had. So much freaking flavor packed into that beer. Enjoy!

One of my kinda-sorta locals posted it on the IG page. I was kinda shocked to be honest, but, thanks to my new overnight hours, I had an hour to waste so I took the trip. No regrets at all.
