Hey, I hear 'ya with the 'naders", growing up in Northern Indiana it was a way of life and always unsettling when the weather started looking "weird".

And, sitting here wondering when your next appearance will be in the Lehigh Valley so we can get together again for beers up at Bear Mountain Lodge!

 

This one is for my friend and dear trade partner who sent me my first one of these @jzeilinger . Finally in NH and I am very happy to have this option and it is finally starting to feel like Fall.

 

No work tomorrow so opening a fresh bottle of Troeg's Hop Knife. This beer has lots of pine resin and citric zest against a background of some tropical fruits. The malt sweetness stays in the background as it should in a beer showcasing hop flavors.

 

I'm really enjoying this batch of Torque Wrench. I'm glad it's available a couple times a year but not all the time. It makes every batch special.

 

This evening's round #2
My version of Rye on Rye...

A rye IPA with heavy Ekuanot dry hop and then aged on Knob Creek rye whiskey soaked oak chips. It's all starting to mellow out together now after four months. Cheers all!

 

been busy, making some dinner and listening to a guy talk about history. good beer and the right setting fixed my mood just fine.

 

How did this happen, I’m glad I’m out good riddance to bad rubbish.

 

Exhausting day considering I missed 3+ hours of work due to plumping issues & medical appointments



Oh, yeah Uinta Crimson Tart, this beer has a strike against already, not a fan of Pomegranate

 

Well, my follow-up beer plan got derailed. Damn. Wife handed me a stiff cocktail instead. Oh well. It's a Hudson, if anyone cares. Cheers anyway! See you tomorrow, with hopefully another beer in hand.

This tastes like ambrosia after drinking so many IPAs, and for you that are wondering what Ambrosia is it’s what the Irish ate after the potato famine.

Pulled this with an attitude of, "cellar turd mercy kill", and actually shocked with this one. Best By was 2015 ...



Less spice and maltier than a fresh one, but then again, this beer is all about the malt and spice anyways and I have no problem with it. This aged gracefully. Impressed.

I actually had to look up kohatu hops for this one.

Dont think I have had many beers brewed with it but this one also features Citra, Mandarina, and Motueka.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a hazy, light golden body with some lacing. Nose of slight tropical fruit, pine, and citrus. Taste mirrors nose somewhat with slight tropical fruit flavors, some pine and citrus pith bitterness on the finish. Nice feel and overall a fine job from Framingham, MA. Cheers!
