    This one . . .

Light yellow color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of tropical citrus hops. This is not a pungent aroma but is dense enough to cover up the grain.

Taste of earthy, herbal, tropical citrus fruits and a touch of pine. Rather complex array of flavors that work well together. As in the scent, grain flavor is notable by it's absence. Low bitterness (18 IBU) that finishes clean and refreshing.

Cold, cloudy and raining today. Getting ready for my meet up with @Snowcrash000 later this afternoon - Chouffe Soleil (2018):

Spicy fruit and lighter than the regular Blonde...poundable even at 6%. I like!

Cologne Cathedral in the background. We did the guided tour this morning, then attended the noon service. This is the 3rd version begun in the early 1200s, and another spectacular example of gothic architecture.

The gold “coffin” containing the Relics (read skeletons) of the 3 Magi/Kings who visited Jesus on his birth...the Relics arrived from Milan in 1164, and transformed Cologne into a European pilgrimage site for centuries, financing the erecting of the current cathedral to replace the old:

    Lunch brew . . .

Taste of yeasty bread, some hop influence opens up mid palate, finish is clean and crisp. Hops come across as firm without being obtrusive with a slight citrus tang. The flavors are good though not outstanding. In fact this is a conservative prob in the Pilsner direction without wandering off the established boundaries of the Yuengling reservation. It's as if they wanted to create something new that would also be acceptable to their established customer base. Can't blame them for that, one of the reasons I suppose they've managed to stay in business for 180 years now. Which is extraordinary when you think about it, the Yuengling family was brewing and selling beer since before the original Pilsner was created.

Yes it is. chinook hops from Segal Ranch.

Nice biterness and little sweetness with loads of tropical fruits. Pretty tasty imo.
