    A brutish bourbon barrel-aged barleywine...at least initially...



    A wonderful looking barleywine, even smells enticing, and the initial taste is quite good, but then the bourbon starts overpowering things. I mean, it is a barleywine and all, and barrel-aged, but in this instance, one may as well have a snort of Booker's or Wild Turkey right off. But then, after letting the beer sit a bit in the glass, the hotness and boozy quality dissipates enough and the beer balances out quite a bit.

    I never diet just didn’t feel like a bun, onions cheddar jalapeños & A-1, yum! The beer is pretty decent, my brother gifted me two sixers.

    Back home from 3 Sheep's where they were celebrating Eslingen fest-Sheboygan's sister city. Also called it onion fest. They had a stout w vidalia onion juice in it-pass ! Did have a pilot milk stout and a pilot NEIIPA that were both good- Cheers !
