Incredible NEDIPA. Lasting head retention/thick soapy lacing. Flavors of huge mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. A bit muted on aromas. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering dryness, no cloying/astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 8.2% after the finish. Insanely smooth/soft feel. Amazing Mosaic/Citra hop showcase. Insanely juicy, and slightly dank hops; perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone; not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Amazing stuff for the style. Less than a month old. 4.28

Excellent Rye IPA. Lasting fluffy head retention, thick soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, spicy rye, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and rye spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.4%. Really bit fan. All Columbus/Mt Hood classic hops. Balanced juicy, dank, and earthy hop complexity; great rye/bready malt backbone, mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Really well made all around. 4.03

I did not have it. Just thought it would be cool to send. My guess is Veil and Triple Crossing is much better.

Gonna have some wahoo we brought back from the same visit. Look for the before and after pic sometime soon tonight.

Do not work too hard tomorrow my friend.

Goose Island's Summer Hours......Nothing earth shattering, but for being a light lager, this is really pretty good.

Yep. This one is a stunner. Noble Ale Work’s Naughty Sauce used to by my “Desert Island Beer,” but they have gone down hill, so look out: Tustin Brewing Company Portola Breakfast Stout is my new “Desert Island Beer.” Wonderful roasted coffee, with a decent backbone - Raul like that:

Very weird IPA, the flavors really did not work together. Lots of sweet malts, caramel, honey mixed with grapefruit and grapefruit pith.
Actually off tomorrow after 8 weeks of working on my normal day off. Hope to get a box out to you Wednesday. Making my first beer run in what seems like forever.

    Dark and boozy wonder!!!

Damn, but I'm blown away with this monster...From my review summation:

"Look and smell are top notch, but the taste and feel are "Wow!" Depth, balance and complexity are here in spades. Smooth and velvety with a deep, rich bittersweet chocolate base and just the right amount of boozy highlights make this beer very agreeable and very memorable."

...and for whatever reason, I still remember seeing BOC at a theater in Marion, Ohio when this album came out...

I am pre-gaming before a late night of watching one of the greatest athletes of this century, Ryan Braun, lead his baseball team, and the great state of Wisconsin to glory. This amazing beer was provided by @superspak, and it is perfect for an occasion such as this! @RaulMondesi, I hope you have some energy tonight!

Home repairs always fun. We had both furnace and plumber folks in within a wk of returning from our California trip. None work for cheap even if it is a simple fix. Stuff breaks and in many cases not as well designed or fabricated as they used to be back in the dark ages when I was young.

As for your question @vabeerguy I say no. You are not a grumpy old man. Just a guy having fun with what they are doing. Nothing wrong there.

You do probably fall short in the hide and seek category if you catch my drift !
