    Great Session NEIPA with an impressive body and juicy citrus/tropical notes for the ABV. This isn't even dry-hopped, as far as I can tell. Great stuff.

    Happy Friday, BAs! Starting with one from @FlintB ’s massive NBS BIF attack. I’d never had anything from Home’s Brewery before Brian’s boxes, but all of their stuff is super solid and worth seeking out! This one is a tangerine hop showcase.

    I love Root + Branch. My favorite ipa of 2018 is their Dome of Heaven. Sadly they no longer distro, so when you’re here you need to either hit the brewery, or get a can from one of the nyc ba’s that are local (Long Island I think?).

    Yup, looking at that a bit, the brewery itself is a bit out of the way, I think. But hell, I won’t exactly have a tough time finding beer...

    Its about 45°, windy and drizzling, miserable weather. Thankfully, my sis-in-law gave me a couple of bottles of "Unearthed" from Long Trail Brewing in Vermont, to get me thru these kind of afternoons.
    Pour is thick, black'n oily. Not much carbonation. I'm getting some bourbon, cocoa, toffee, ash and fresh leather. Damn good beer.

    Agree. It meanders a bit flavor wise. A bit too light/airy overall too, but a nice spice and dry finish.

    Back from the grocery and attending to other errands...on the balcony with a cold Jai Alai...it’s 95 degrees in the shade, but a bearable 49% humidity:



    Not sure if I want to go to the pool...it’s hot outside...and I gotta open a box of tasty treats I received today from my trading partner :sunglasses: !!

    I really liked it. It got a 3.77 from me which is high.
    Also, it is better as it warms a bit, which is unusual for a marzen.

    Enough out of the way that I’ve never been there. And you know how often I’m in nyc. Finback is far, but Root + Branch (plus Barrier, Sand City, etc) take real commitment for a non-local to reach.
