Amazing NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, lemon, lime, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins/rinds near the end of the glass. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very smooth/soft feel, minimal warming 7%. Citra, Wai-iti, and Amarillo profile. Amazingly juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone, not overly sweet from lingering dryness. They always do an awesome job on NEIPAs.

Fantastic. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, wood smoke, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuttiness, and dark bread; with lighter notes of charcoal, licorice, raisin, plum, and herbal/peppery/piney hops. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/piney/spicy bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body. Very creamy/silky malt mouthfeel; fair amount of sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness, no acrid/astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 12.5%, zero barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipper. Just as outstanding as I remember when I first reviewed it. Perfect balance of smoked stout and bourbon barrels; while still retaining a nice amount of hop character from the RIS aspect of the base beer. Extremely impressive. Still have another bottle, would buy again.

New Haken album is going to be amazing. Love all the singles so far. Unfortunately only 45 minute LP, they usually have had 60-72 minute discs.

    Howdy Fine Advocates...

Got my weekends errands and chores done so I’ll reward myself with Rochefort 10 which I haven’t had in a bit. No argument from me, it’s a World Class Trappist beer...

    Cheers.

Fantastic DIPA. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Pretty aggressive, but easy drinking. Minimal warming 9.4%. Awesomely juicy, dank, and vibrant Simcoe/Amarillo hop complexity; nice malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering resin sryness. Not as amazing as I remember when I first had it, but still really outstanding classic hopped DIPA. 5 months old and holding up amazingly. Have a few left.

Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins/rinds near the end of the glass. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very smooth, lightly increasing warmth of 9.9%. Dangerously smooth. Extremely juicy, and lightly dank/earthy hops; great bready wheat/oat/malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Spot on stuff as usual, but not as hazy as the rest.

Lol. Drinking this early makes me sleepy, but I just laugh when I see Kbs lined up for breakfast. I'd be taking a nap by noon. I'm a lightweight any more, but drinking early always had that effect on me. Cheers though to the hardy who can do an all day binge.

    Good morning BA
Worked off nights this morning and met a coworker to pick up a six pack of beer from the Dakotas. Then drove to the lake for a quick beer, nap and then a day of catching up on chores.

I have to be back first thing Monday for six more 12 hour shifts, so squeezing in as much beer as I can. Cheers all!

@nc41, I am drinking beers at this time of the morning, only because a guy at the gym told me that consuming IPAs first thing in the morning helps burn fat around your abdominals. It hasn't worked for me so far, but I am going to stick with it.

Fantastic Gose as always. Flavors of tart/sour cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and lightly spicy/tannic fruit finish. Balanced cherry/lacto acidity, salinity, and grainy wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable and refreshing, minimal puckering. One of my all time favorites in the style. I drank over a case last year. Does not feel quite as lactically sour as previous years, but still fantastic and easier drinking. Found some old back stock from last year. No fresh stuff in MI I guess this year. I can still get more though. Holding up well, hope we get them next year.

Fantastic session IPA as always. Got a fresh pack of cans recently. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, mint, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing lingering bitter resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very flavorful and smooth for 4.8%, not overly aggressive. Great hop profile from 10 different hops. Extremely vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice solid malt backbone for the ABV. No residual sweetness at all. One of the best widely available SIPAs for sure. Been buying Stone way more often since they introduced the cans. The price is unbeatable.
