    Light golden color with white cap.

    Aroma of ripe banana, bit of clove and some light citrus touches.

    Taste is rather ripe banana forward followed by the clove (not too spicy) and citrus in the form of citrus blossoms rather than fruit or zest. At the very first I thought a touch of tartness but that was quickly overcome by the banana. Simple, clean flavors that finish almost dry, which is a plus in this beer because there is balance whereas sweetness might have thrown the whole thing into a more one dimensional taste.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

    Overall it's a decent Weiss beer that lacks the complexity or sophistication of the European originals.

    My son’ s wedding

    Bottle in box with tasting notes

    Poured into a glass , deep bark brown. Liquid, one finger taupe foam cap, settles rather quickly to a taupe ring

    Aroma is bourbon, molasses , dark fruits, raisins

    Taste is dark fruits, raisins, charred barrel, bourbon, complex flavors

    Smooth but I get some alcohol , not a burn , but I get some on the taste low sudsing

    Good beer

    More in store tastings.

    This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of molasses, smoke, char, bacon, salt, licorice, and dark fruit. Light-moderate herbal/roast/char bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, bready malt mouthfeel; with some sticky hops and chalky char/roast. Light-moderate increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Very smooth sipping, minimal warming 9.5%. Amazingly rich malt complexity; with perfectly balanced fruity/nutty coffee, and maple syrup flavor presence. Not a ton of Bacon, but it really did not matter. Reminded me of the Odd Sides Hipster a lot as expected, without the barrel. Got better as it warmed up. 4.25
