Which was better? Haven't gotten my hands on Double Dunk yet, should hit here any day ago.

Another Big Lake NEIPA. Excellent stuff. Nice head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seeds, grapefruit, mandarin orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and berry tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy/bready malts; light sticky hops and fruit tang/acids in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Super smooth/soft, pretty refreshing, 5.5%. Great Citra/Mosaic profile as usual. Great balance between authentic blackberries and juicy/lightly dank hops; with a great wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. One of the better ones so far. 4.05


@Dragginballs76. This was fantastic. Poor head retention and no lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy black raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, cherry, plum, currant, green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with some wheat, cracker, lightly toasted bread malts; and lighter notes of peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang; and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, lactic acid, fruit tang, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, no puckering sourness. Very smooth, not overly lactic, 5.7%. Fantastic jammy berry presence, and balanced Brett/Bacteria complexity; nice oak presence, and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. 4.2

if you count lazily thrown together hip-hop beats then yea. haven't made anything serious in quite a while

 

I was at Surly last weekend, and the beer that he is referring to is a cottage cheese variant of Darkness. There was a huge line for it.

Heading for a quick work trip to Scottsdale tomorrow and staying 2 blocks from Total Wine. I should be able to score a 4 pack of these in one of the 2 suitcases I'm bringing so I'm drinking my last one...

 

Ending with samples of Coton from the Bruery. I don't know how I keep running into limited editions that were retired when I was in high school.
