Fantastic NEDIPA as usual, haven’t had it in a while. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, grapefruit, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy wheat and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, never astringent. Insanely smooth drinking, minimal warming 9.2% ABV. El Dorado, Galaxy, Citra, Amarillo, and Azacca. Very dank, vibrant, and juicy hop complexity; balanced wheat/oat/malts and no residual sweetness from lingering bitter dryness. A little more drying than expected, but spot on for the style otherwise.

This was amazing as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, hazelnut, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, smoke, oak char, raisin, prune, fig, date, leather, tobacco, and herbal hops. Light roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak spice on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied. Very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, rich malt mouthfeel; lightly slick, sticky hops, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness; no cloying, acrid flavors. Dangerously smooth, mild warmth of 12%, no barrel booze. Looks like I am going to get more of this one, definitely one of the best variants. Perfectly balanced rich malts, coffee, hazelnuts, and barrel presence/integration all around. As far as BBA stouts, I am spoiled to have this as shelf beer. Glad they went to all cans for them as well. A true sleeper that most people overlook and buy all the hyped stuff instead.

Amazing DIPA! Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready wheat/oats; and some sticky, resinous, rindy hops/peels in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering resin dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 8.7%. Nicely soft feel. Amazing Citra profile as usual. Extremely juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; great wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet from lingering resin dryness. Definitely one of their best ones so far, but most have been similarly impressive.

Amazing pumpkin ale! Aromas and flavors of huge pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, gingerbread, pie crust, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of roast, vanilla, golden raisin, herbal spice, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts, light sticky spice. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy dryness, no cloying/astringency. Super smooth, minimal warming 8.8%. This is definitely one of the top in the style I've had as far as authentic pumpkin fruit presence. Amazingly balanced pumpkin, spices, and rich malts. Not overwhelming on any aspects. I want this in cans, will get more bombers though.

A couple of days ago we got 8 inches of snow, most of it's gone because it has rained for two days. Global warming? Global cooling? Who cares, this'll help warm these old bones.

    Top of the morning BA’s
Christmas swag is starting to show up in full force around the house.
I’m drinking Double Shot from Tree House Brewing, it’s an America stout with coffee and chocolate notes. I’m going to attempt to review it for NBS. I’m not a real good writer of reviews, we’ll see. Preliminary thoughts are, I wish I didn’t give my other bottle from the 2 bottle allotment to my son.
