Fruitier aroma, slight metallic thing going on, but overall smooth and pretty darn good. Mocha with a hint of banana. Merry Christmas! Cheers!

My record for Door County cherries aged in 151 rum is 17. That was the first night that I ever flew on a live turkey.

Fat Orange Cat. Incredible NEIPA. Lasting head retention/thick lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready wheat/oats, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.5%. Amazing Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra profile. Extremely juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Amazing spot on style example. They have been nailing the more recent ones I've had.

Nugent was the first concert I ever attended and my ears were still ringing the next day. (great concert, BTW!) I have to say, that's the first time I've ever seen "Uncle" Ted play an acoustic guitar!!! :scream: Not too shabby!

Just had my first ever Trillium beer. Double dry hopped Scaled. Good beer, but I'm still happy with a fridge full of Sierra Nevada or Bell's. Just don't get the hype. Turned my brother in law on to Fore River's John Henry Milk Stout, and got some awesome glassware from my sister.

Best to all of you out there, holidays or not, enjoy each other's company.

    Dig on the music folks,

Sadly, I've never gotten the chance to see him live. He seems to come to Minnesota right during the week of the Benton County fair where I'm working my ass off running my booth there.

I might be in the minority, but I can understand that sentiment. Trillium doesn't taste the same as it once did. That is my opinion, and I'm sticking to it like glue.

A lot of the NE "big beers" don't taste the same as they did. I'm over the hype. I have a good friend who has kept me in VT beer for years. My only requests are Alchemist and the out of the way breweries no one can has ever heard of. There's good stuff out there still.
